I-171H certified by the California Secretary of State. Took 5 to 10 minutes over the counter in Los Angeles. I was there when they opened.

Notice of Favorable Determination Concerning Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition) approved! by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

We picked up our authenticated documents from the Los Angeles Chinese Consulate.
We just need our I-171H to finish up our paper chase.

Dropped off our documents at the Los Angeles Chinese Consulate. Because Monday is a 3 day holiday for them we can not pick our documents up until next Thursday.

A kind lady named Julianna W. walked our home study through the Secretary of State's office.

We finally received our copy of the finalized home study from Partners for Adoption.

12 April 2006
Our finalized home study was mailed to USCIS. Hopefully we will have our 171-H in about four to five weeks.

11 April 2006
Today we visited CCAI and found the staff to be great group of people. The agency is running like a well oiled machine right down to the offices being layed out in the same order as the adoption process proceeds.

2 - 10 April 2006
This week we hit our first road block as our home study 1st Draft was due on 2 April and we did not get it until April 10th. Partners For Adoption took control and got it finished as our social worker was having personal issues.

Today we did our USCIS fingerprinting in Riverside at the Application Support Center by Tyler Mall.

Recieved our fingerprinting appointment from USCIS.

Received Our Marriage Certificate back from the San Fancisco Chinese Consulate. Didn't expect to see it until next week

Received Paul's Birth Certificate back from the D.C. Chinese Consulate. Didn't expect to see it until next week

Today we had our final home study visit at our home. Everything went great. The social worker loved our house and community.

Mailed Birth & Marriage Certificates to the D.C. & San Francisco Chinese Consulate for authentication.

15 & 16 March 2006
Received Birth & Marriage Certificates back from MD & NV Secretary of States.

10 March 2006
Scheduled home visit with the social worker. That will be at 10 a.m. on Sunday the 19th.
